Nazarene Theological College and its extension-learning programme is a vital part of a global network of educational institutions around and Africa that seeks to offer quality Christian education to those whom God has called on the Africa South Field. Culminating in four years of negotiations and planning, the merger of our four theological colleges in South Africa was ratified during 1989 and became a reality as a consolidated institution at Nooitgedacht, near Muldersdrift at the beginning of 1990.
The former campuses of: Nazarene Theological College, Florida established in 1954, originally at Portchefstroom; Africa Nazarene Theological College, Port Elizabeth - 1954,originally at Rehoboth Mission Station near Kempton Part; Lulu Schmelzenbach Memorial Nazarene Theological College, Acornhoek - 1963; KwaZulu Nazarene Bible College, Amanzimtoti (1977) all established one Board of Trustees representing all the districts of the Africa South Field Church of the Nazarene.
